DECEMBER 1, 2012 9pm: Rock Lottery is back! This is one my favorite Brooklyn events, and I’m not biased because my friend Tierney is in charge … well, maybe a little, but it’s truly a super fun night. Last year was AWESOME! If you’re not familiar with Rock Lottery, here’s a quick rundown: A bunch of local musicians from all kinds of bands get together in the morning and are broken up into groups through a lottery-style selection process. They rehearse all day, write original songs, and then rock the Knitting Factory that night. I saw the greatest band ever last year and they were only together for one night. They ruled! Anyway, it’s for charity and it’s always a good time. This year all the proceeds will be donated to local charities supporting Hurricane Sandy relief. This event will sell out quickly, so click here for ticket information.
